Founded in 2025, Albright Therapy was created to provide an inclusive, nurturing, and warm space for children and young people, especially those with special educational needs or disabilities.
With neurodivergent lived experience at the core of the practice, we are passionate about helping young clients express feelings, overcome worries, and develop resilience. Our mission is to provide accessible, tailored support that empowers each child on their mental health journey.
Meet the founder
My name is Darcie, I'm the founder of Albright Therapy. I'm Autistic and ADHD, and I use my lived experience alongside my professional skills to help young people understand their feelings.
I am a qualified and insured Child Wellbeing Practitioner and Drawing and Talking Practitioner. I have over 2 years qualified experience running individual and group based therapies with children, and more than a decade of experience working with young people.

2020
My first hands on role; a special educational needs PA during lockdown, while completing my final year of my BSc Psychology degree
2021
Working in residential care with children aged 7-17
2022
Entered the mental health field, working as a Child Mental Health Social Prescriber (supporting families approaching their GP surgery for help)
2023
Completed my Postgraduate Diploma at King's College London, in Child Wellbeing Practice, while working within CAMHS (NHS)
2024
Begun work in the charity sector as a Low Intensity Therapeutic Practitioner, where I also completed my Foundation and Advanced training in Drawing and Talking therapy
2025
Albright Therapy Services was founded to focus on supporting SEND young people, pre and post diagnosis, to process their worries
