Parents and Carers

You're a parent/ carer and you're looking for support for your child

Welcome. We're glad you're here.

If your child is struggling, it's hard to know where to turn. We're here to help.

Young people can struggle with their mental health for a number of reasons, as it's difficult as a parent or carer to know the right way to approach things. At Albright, we'll support your child to choose what works best for them. By empowering them to have a voice, we can begin to boost their confidence and face their worries head on.

Therapeutic sessions are a safe and private space for your child to explore feelings safely and openly. Support is child-centred - everything we do will be led by them.

What kind of help can my child receive?

Drawing & Talking

Young people aged 5-21 can draw and talk about anything. Using storytelling and a healthy attachment, we explore emotional pain and trauma using non-cognitive language (imagination).

This is a psychotherapy based method. Creating pictures and stories in a safe and consistent space can help us heal our trauma and inner stresses.

  • 30 minute sessions
  • Weekly or fortnightly
  • 12 weeks
  • £360 total (£30 per week)
  • Face to Face or online

Emotional Wellbeing Support

You cannot pour from an empty cup

As a parent/carer to a child with mental health concerns, it can be hard to take time for yourself. It's important for your child's mental wellbeing, as well as your own, that you take good care of your mind too.
